About Olsbergs

Olsbergs develops, designs, and manufactures electro-hydraulic control systems for mobile machinery applications and is a global leader in control systems for truck-mounted cranes and forestry cranes. Our control systems are characterized by excellent control and coordination properties, highly appreciated by crane operators, with over 20,000 systems installed worldwide. Behind this high performance lies more than 40 years of continuous development work and around 30 patented innovations. All manufacturing takes place in our own factories in Eksjö and Vallentuna, ensuring full control over the entire production chain, from the smallest detail to finished systems. The companies had a turnover of approximately 175 million SEK in 2024 and have around 110 employees. Olsbergs is a proud part of Hiab, a global leader in loading equipment for road transport and associated intelligent, smart connected solutions.

We are looking for a driven and hands-on hydraulic engineer who wants to help develop our products and ensure the highest quality and functionality. You will join the R&D team located in Eksjö, focusing on developing new, innovative hydraulic solutions that drive our future product development.

Main responsibilities

Hydraulic system design:

  • Develop, design, and implement hydraulic systems for both new and existing production equipment.

Technical documentation:

  • Create technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and instructions.

Quality assurance:

  • Ensure that all solutions and installations meet internal quality requirements and relevant safety regulations.

Development and future

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for long-term development with us. You will focus on further developing our existing products, as well as developing new, innovative hydraulic solutions that drive our future product development. What you need to succeed

  • University education in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, or another relevant technical field.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, including the design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.
  • Good knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings and hydraulic schematics. Experience with relevant CAD software is an advantage.
  • You are a practical person who enjoys performing measurements, adjustments, and tests directly on the equipment yourself.
  • You can work independently, take initiative, and have a very good ability to structure and document your work.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
